NETI
SINUS ALLERGY RELIEF

Today millions of people worldwide suffer from sinus allergies, which usually occurs spring, late summer and the autumn. At these times, the air is dry, giving air born particles like pollen and ragweed greater opportunity to flow freely. Common symptoms are runny nose & eyes, excessive sneezing, itchy nose, bad breath and post-nasal drip.

Neti, or nasal irrigation is an ancient technique that has been passed down for thousands of years from India. It’s simple, fast, inexpensive and extremely effective. It’s a natural way of preventing and treating sinus allergies, with no harmful side effects.

Other benefits:
Neti also increases mental alertness, energy, and improves the immune system.

Trouble shooting
If you feel burning, decease the amount of salt.
A few rounds of alternate Kapalabhati pranayama is great for cleansing and remaining mucus and water.

 It’s Simple
- You will need a neti pot, sea salt, a spoon, tissue paper and a sink.
- Do neti in the morning before you eat.
- Depending on the size of your neti pot, add about 1/3 teaspoon of sea salt with warm water & stir until salt is dissolved.
- Add luke warm water, fill pot & stir.
- Lean your head over the sink, and press the spout of the neti pot inside the end of your right nostril. Tilt your head so the left nostril is lower. Find the right angle so the water in the neti pot can flow into the right nostril, out of the left and empty into the sink. Empty the whole pot.
- Blow your nose.
- Repeat on the left nostril.
- Ideally, practice ten minutes of Ujjayi or Nadi Shodhana pranayama (yogic breathing) after neti.
